Services Australia Adopts FirstWave AI Compliance Software

Services Australia has licensed FirstWave's AI compliance management software in an agreement worth A$1.85 million. The agency runs the network behind Medicare, Centrelink, and Child Support, services that reach millions of people every day. The software gives its teams a way to track configuration and compliance across that infrastructure, and to evidence it on demand.

This is a landmark public sector win for FirstWave.

What the agreement covers

Services Australia has taken a perpetual licence to the software. The A$1.85 million is made up of three parts: software licences (A$1.331 million), professional services for deployment (A$0.143 million), and annual support (A$0.378 million).

The annual support is recurring. It is payable to FirstWave for as long as Services Australia chooses to keep the support in place, so the agreement carries a continuing revenue component beyond the initial licence.

How the compliance software works for the agency

The software supports compliance management across Services Australia's network and infrastructure. It discovers what is connected, tracks how each device is configured, and checks that configuration against the controls the agency has to meet.

When something drifts out of policy, the system flags it. That turns compliance from a periodic, manual scramble into a continuous, evidenced process. For an agency operating at national scale, that shift matters: the question is rarely "are we compliant today", it is "can we prove it across everything, at any moment".

Why this win matters

Government buyers set a high bar. They run complex, sensitive infrastructure, and they procure carefully. A reference customer of this profile tells other public sector and enterprise buyers that the software holds up in a demanding environment.

The win also validates the direction FirstWave has taken with AI-powered compliance management, built on Open-AudIT and the broader product family. It lands alongside a comparable public sector win with Banobras in Mexico, evidence that the same compliance story travels across very different markets.
